Questions hotel owners, operators and finance leaders ask about InnRecon.
What exactly is free?
The agreed InnRecon Recovery Audit is free. We receive the defined report package, reconcile eligible categories and provide an executive Recovery Opportunity Report. Detailed managed recovery begins only after authorization.
Do I have to authorize recovery after the free audit?
No. You can review the executive findings and stop there. The complimentary audit does not obligate you to authorize recovery.
If the findings are free, what does the report include?
The report shows total potential recovery, broad categories, confidence and audit coverage. It intentionally withholds vendor identity tied to a case, transaction identifiers, exact case dates, individual recovery amounts, detailed calculations, evidence and recovery instructions.
Do you need direct PMS or OTA system access?
No core audit requires an integration project or credential handoff. InnRecon can begin with standard CSV, Excel and native PDF reports the hotel already produces.
How often do we need to send reports?
Most reports can be submitted monthly. Time-sensitive OTA open-balance and recent-stay reports may be sent more frequently, including through existing scheduled report-email capability where available.
Does my finance team have to work the recovery cases?
No. InnRecon is designed as a managed recovery service. We prepare the detailed case, evidence, communication and follow-up. When a final action can only be performed inside a hotel-controlled system, InnRecon provides the exact action and tracks the result.
What if InnRecon finds $10,000 and only recovers $7,500?
For a percentage-of-recovery engagement, the recovery fee is calculated from the $7,500 actually confirmed and attributable under the executed agreement. The unrecovered $2,500 does not create a recovery fee.
Does a clean month-end close mean there is nothing to find?
No. Accounting can balance around the amount that actually arrived or was paid while the economic obligation between systems remains different. InnRecon tests those underlying economics.
Does InnRecon hold hotel funds?
No. InnRecon is designed to identify and manage recovery activity, not to become the custodian of hotel funds.
What types of hotels can use InnRecon?
The platform is designed around normalized hotel financial data rather than a single PMS, brand or processor. Branded hotels, independent hotels, management companies and ownership groups can be supported when the required report data is available.
What happens if one report is missing?
Eligible modules with complete inputs should continue. The property should receive one exact request for the missing hard requirement rather than a generalized list of questions.
